My name is Suzanne Bernard. In the year 2009, Dr. Raul Barrios performed an arthroscopy of my left ankle at the Modelo private hospital in La Coruña, Spain.

I had previously spent three unsuccessful months using crutches to try to heal my ankle naturally but to no avail. I also had a cyst inside my foot.

Dr. Barrios performed arthroscopic surgery on my ankle, cleaned the lesion and performed micro-fractures to allow it to heal.

Afterward, I spent another two months on crutches and then went on to have a course of physiotherapy over the following 2 months.

I am writing to most highly recommend Dr Raúl Barrios as a physician and surgeon. I had the good fortune of meeting Dr. Raúl at Burjeel Hospital in Abu Dhabi. I actually consulted with him regarding at least three medical issues I had.

One of the great things about Dr. Raúl is that he puts you at ease quickly and establishes a friendly, yet professional tone. He clearly has very positive relationships with his colleagues as well which sets everyone at ease as well. His medical training and practice in multiple countries has provided him with a wealth of professional and cultural experiences. This helps make him highly effective.

I first saw Dr. Raúl for a very painful shoulder which he examined personally and via x-rays and MRI. We decided to treat it with a cortisone injection and it was effective. He is very collaborative in his approach with patients. He is not pushy at all and clarifies options. I also saw him for some lumps in my hand. Finally, he performed surgery on a foot neuroma that I had for almost 20 years.

I am finally free of that pain thanks to his work. Beyond his medical expertise and professional practice he is a wonderful guy. He is intelligent, caring and easy to talk with. He loves his family dearly. Although I have moved from Abu Dhabi we remain in contact. I most highly recommend him.
