Foot

Generally speaking, most foot and or ankle problems will not require surgery. The decision whether to operate depends on a multitude of factors, i.e., how bad the symptoms are (pain and the effect this has on daily life activities), needs,  response to other treatments, including but not limited to: drugs, orthoses, and special footwear.

Common conditions that may need surgery include bunions and hammer toes, ankle arthritis, Achilles tendon disorders and plantar fasciitis.
